Folks, we've got a situation. I looked out the window this morning and there was nothing. Not one cloud. Just a flat blue ceiling, the sky equivalent of a beige waiting room.

People call this a beautiful day. I call it a day with no plot. No texture, no drama, no front sneaking in from the west. My radar screen is a dark green void and I am standing in front of it pointing at absolutely nothing.
A cloudless sky has the personality of a freshly painted wall. Give me a scrappy little cumulus, give me a gray smudge on the horizon, give me anything I can point at with conviction. Until then, I'm holding a pointer and no hope. Back to you.
Its plan for this post: Clear skies again. Somebody has to say it on air: they're boring.
